Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 12 pieces Chicken Lollipops
  • Oil for deep frying

For Marination:

  • 1 tbsp Chili Garlic Paste
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Paste
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp White Vinegar
  • 3 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
  • 3 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Egg

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken:
In a mixing bowl, combine chicken lollipops with chili garlic paste, ginger paste, garlic paste, Kashmiri chili powder, black pepper, salt, soy sauce, white vinegar, and tomato ketchup. Mix well and let it marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Coating:
Add cornstarch, all-purpose flour, and the egg to the marinated chicken. Mix until well combined for a crispy coating.
  3. Heat the Oil:
In a deep frying pot, heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Test by dropping a small amount of batter into the oil; it should sizzle.
  4. Fry the Chicken:
Carefully add the marinated chicken to the hot oil. Cook on low heat for 10 minutes, then increase to high heat and fry for another 5 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Drain and Serve:
Remove the chicken lollipops using a slotted spoon and let them drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.

Notes

Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve your chicken lollipops with lemon wedges and a variety of dipping sauces like sweet chili or garlic mayo for extra flavor.

Tips & Tricks:

  • To achieve extra crunch, consider double coating the chicken by repeating the coating process.
  • Ensure not to overcrowd the frying pot, as this can lead to uneven cooking.

Storage & Reheating:

  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • To reheat, place the chicken lollipops in an oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes to retain their crispiness.
